Survival is something we do everyday but how would you survive if you were not surrounded by all the conveniences of home?  Become a survivor during this informative program and find out how much you know about surviving.

FRIDAY, JULY 3 rd

Evening Program 7:30pm: “A Snakes Tale”

Misconceptions have led to the fear and hatred for these legless creatures.  Come hear a snakes tale during this interactive program on Missouri snakes and learn from hands-on demonstrations with live ones why they are so great to have around.

SATURDAY, JULY 4 th

Annual Sidewalk Art Contest 8:45am: “Happy 4 th of July!”

It's time for our annual sidewalk art contest!  Join in the fun for a certificate and a chance to win prizes!  Registration is at 8:45am, contest starts at 9:00am and judging of art will take place around 10:00am. Chalk will be provided.
Meet in front of the Visitor Center.

NEW Explorer Hour 4:00pm: “Scavenger Hunt”

Learn all about the park and staff during this fun and interactive search.  Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.  You can participate as an individual or on a team so bring your friends and join in the fun!

Fun with the Naturalists 6:00pm:  “Town Ball”

Baseball is considered to be America's favorite pastime.  But did you know that the sport grew from a historical game called town ball?  We need players of all ages to take part in this fun and exciting game of America's past. 
Meet at the field in front of the Visitor Center.

SUNDAY, JULY 5 th

History Hike 9: 00am: “A Stroll through History”

America was settled, fought for and built on the backs of our forefathers.  Sam A. Baker State Park is here today because of that pride, making it one of the oldest and most classic State Parks in Missouri.  Take a relaxing stroll through history and discover the secrets of Sam A. Baker State Park's past.
Meet at the Mudlick Trailhead across from the Park Store.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 8 th

Evening Program 8:00pm: “Bats: Myth and Reality”

People have feared bats for several years due to several misconceptions and Halloween themes.  Come to this informative program and learn about the mysterious bats of Sam A. Baker State Park.  They may be shrouded by myths but a naturalist will debunk them with reality.
Meet at Picnic Shelter #2 across the bridge.

Notice: All children 10 years of age and under, must be accompanied by an adult at all park programs.
