Evening Program 8: 30pm:  “Park Jeopardy”

Join the park naturalist for a fun and relaxing evening of Jeopardy.  Whether you are an expert player or just wet behind the ears, you will learn fun facts about one of Missouri's most famous state parks while playing this all time family favorite.
Meet at the amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.

SATURDAY, MAY 29 th

Nature Hike 10:00am:  “Geology Rocks!”

If you take a look around, you will find that geology is all around you – from your soda can to gas in the car to coins in your piggy bank.  Geology isn't just rocks, so join a naturalist as we dig into our ever-changing earth and discover how geology rocks your world every day!
Meet at the Mudlick Trailhead across from the Park Store.

Explorer Hour 2:00pm:  “Snakes Show-&-Tell”

Misconceptions have led to the fear and hatred for these legless creatures.  Join a park naturalist for this interactive program with live snakes and learn why they are so great to have around. 
Meet at the field in front of the Visitor Center.

Evening Program 8:30pm: “Animal Grossology”

So what could be more gross than loathsome leeches, slimy slugs, and funky fungi?  Come get a glimpse of these truly nasty critters as we count down the top 20 “grossest” animals in Missouri. 
Meet at the amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.

 

SUNDAY, MAY 30 th

Fun with the Naturalists 4:00pm:  “Town Ball”

Baseball is considered to be America's favorite pastime.  But did you know that the sport grew from an exciting and historical game called town ball?  We need players of all ages to take part in this fun and exciting game of America's past.  Bring water.
Meet at the field in front of the Visitor Center.

 

Evening Program 7:30pm:  “Survival Skills”

Survival is something we do everyday but how would you survive if you were not surrounded by all the conveniences of home?  Become a survivor during this interactive program where you learn what it takes to survive from the comfort of your own seat.
Meet at the amphitheater behind the Visitor Center.

 

MEMORIAL DAY, MAY 31 st

Discovery Hour 10:00am: “In Remembrance…”

Join a park naturalist in raising our Nation's flag on this day of remembrance.  You will also learn about Memorial Day, our state flag and symbols, and even create your own flag to take home with you.
Meet in front of the Visitor Center.

 

This program will demonstrate the amazing adaptations of the owl through an interactive presentation, hands-on activities and exhibits.  We will also embark on an owl prowl to hopefully meet some of our resident owls.  Whooooo's coming?
Meet at picnic pavilion #2 across bridge.

 

All programs are offered weather permitting.
